This Privacy Policy explains how MeraRupya ("we," "us," "our"), operated by Piyush Kumar, an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor (ARN: 360761), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you visit merarupya.com, use our Goal Planner tool, or interact with us for mutual fund distribution and related services.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDPA"), MeraRupya acts as a Data Fiduciary — the entity that determines the purpose and means of processing your personal data. You, as the individual whose data we process, are referred to as a Data Principal.

By using this website or sharing your information with us, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not share your personal data with us.

2. Personal Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Information you provide directly:

• Name, mobile number, and email address (when you fill an enquiry, lead, or callback form)

• Investment goals, approximate investment amount, and risk-related preferences (when you use the Goal Planner or request a consultation)

• KYC-related information (PAN, address, bank details, and similar documentation), where required to facilitate an actual mutual fund transaction

Information collected automatically:

• Device and browser information, IP address, approximate location, and time zone

• Pages visited, referring website or search terms, and general interaction data on our website

We do not collect more personal data than is reasonably necessary for the specific purpose it is collected for.

We process your data only for the purpose(s) disclosed to you at the time of collection, and do not use it for unrelated purposes without fresh consent.

4. Consent

Where we rely on your consent to process personal data, that consent is:

• Free — not a condition for accessing unrelated parts of the Site

• Specific — tied to the stated purpose(s) above

• Informed — given after you've seen this notice

• Given through clear affirmative action — for example, ticking a consent checkbox; we do not use pre-ticked boxes

You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@merarupya.com. Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal, but where we no longer have a valid basis to retain your data, we will stop processing it and delete it, unless we are required to retain it under another applicable law (for example, KYC or transaction records mandated by SEBI/AMFI/AMC requirements).

In limited cases, we may process your data without separate consent where you have voluntarily provided it for a specified purpose and have not indicated otherwise (for example, submitting an enquiry form), or where required by law.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary to deliver the services you've asked for, with:

• Asset Management Companies (AMCs) and their Registrars & Transfer Agents (RTAs), such as CAMS or KFintech, to process your mutual fund transactions

• Distribution and execution platforms we are empaneled with, currently including Wealthy.in and Kotak Securities, to facilitate your investment

• Regulatory or governmental authorities, where required by law (for example, SEBI, AMFI, or in response to a valid legal request)

• Service providers who support our operations (such as website hosting or email/communication tools), under confidentiality obligations, and only to the extent needed for that function

As we add new product lines (such as SIFs, once distribution is approved, or loan referral services), this section will be updated to name any new category of partner your data may be shared with before that sharing begins.

We do not share your data with unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by applicable law (including SEBI/AMFI record-keeping requirements, which may require certain transaction-related records to be retained for a prescribed number of years even after our relationship ends). Where data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

7. Your Rights

As a Data Principal under the DPDPA, you have the right to:

• Access — request a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it's being processed

• Correction & updating — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data

• Erasure — ask us to delete your data, subject to any legal retention requirements

• Withdraw consent — at any time, as described in Section 4

• Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us directly (see Section 9), and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved

• Nominate — nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

In the event of a personal data breach that affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required under applicable law.

We will acknowledge and address requests within a reasonable time. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India through the applicable process.

10. Children's Data

Our services are intended for adults capable of entering into a financial relationship. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Where any processing involves a child or a person with a lawful guardian, we will seek verifiable consent from the parent or guardian as required under the DPDPA.

11. Cross-Border Data Transfer

Where your data is processed or stored outside India (for example, through cloud infrastructure providers), we do so in line with applicable law. We do not transfer personal data to any country the Government of India has specifically restricted.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our product offerings, or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
